Ca' Foscari University of Venice: GREEN-NANOVITIS. Valorization of fishery and winemaking waste for the development of hybrid nanocarriers with controlled release in sustainable viticulture
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
03/CHEM-03 - General And Inorganic Chemistry
Description
The transition to low environmental impact viticulture requires innovative solutions to reduce dependence on conventional pesticides and optimize mineral nutrition. The project proposes a circular economy model transforming fishery (chitosan) and wine industry (lignin) by-products into hybrid nanoparticles.2. Project ObjectivesDevelop and validate nanotechnological formulations to improve grape quality and control downy mildew while reducing heavy metals in soils.Intermediate objectives:• Mapping and characterization of by-products• Definition of techno-economic feasibility matrix.• Optimization of nanoparticle synthesis
