Description

The research is part of the collaboration agreement between the Lombardy Region and the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU) of Politecnico di Milano, as well as the collaboration agreement between the Municipality of Varese and DAStU. It develops across multiple levels of analysis, articulating its outcomes at both the regional scale (specifically considering the Geographic Landscape Units [AGP] of the Regional Landscape Plan) and the municipal scale. The objective is to develop ecosystem mapping and assessments related to landscape vulnerabilities, aimed at defining multiscale guidelines for landscape regeneration, also in relation to the formulation of strategic actions for the green and blue infrastructure network project. Particular attention is given to the identification and representation of critical issues, vulnerabilities, and pressure dynamics affecting the environmental and landscape quality of the contexts, with specific reference to hydraulic risk.
