Description

The research activity will include industrial research and experimental development in collaboration with CO-Tool partners. It will focus on the synthesis and characterization of selective porous materials for CO2 capture and separation from gas mixtures, targeting both direct air capture and post-combustion conditions, as well as conversion. The researcher will perform organic synthesis of building blocks for assembling organic and metal–organic materials, as discrete systems or frameworks. The project includes solid-state physicochemical characterization to assess structure, stability, and properties. During the research period, the new materials will also be tested in CO2 conversion processes.

In order to register with the system, you must have an email address. Following the guidelines published in the procedure, the applicant must enter all the information required for the application, enclosing all documents in electronic .PDF format. The selection of candidates is carried out on the basis of qualifications and possible interview (with test of knowledge of the foreign language) (see Art. 1 par. 1 Call for applications). The public call with detailed attendance and selection rules (Art 4 and 6) can be found at: https://pica.cineca.it/unipv/tipologia/idrThe selections are open to candidates, Italian or foreigner, in possession, on the date of the deadline for submitting applications for the admission to the selection, of a master's degree or single-cycle degree, preferably in Chemistry, obtained no more than six years previously are eligible to participate in the selection process. These degrees must be relevant to the subject of the research activity. Further specific assessable qualifications (see Art. 1 par. 1 Call for applications): Deep knowledge of the main strategies for the synthesis and characterization of porous materials for applications in selective gas adsorption processes. Knowledge of physicochemical characterization techniques for organic compounds and metal complexes in solution and in the solid state (NMR, MS, spectroscopies, XRD, thermogravimetry, SEM-EDX). Knowledge of materials and processes for the selective capture and conversion of carbon dioxide.
