Description
The overall objective of this project is to shed light on translational control in endothelial cells (ECs) during physiopathological angiogenesis. The specific aims are:• Aim 1: To define the translational program of endothelial cells during developmental angiogenesis and tumor angiogenesis, with particular focus on melanoma in vivo.• Aim 2: To identify the translational factors and signaling pathways that act as remodelers of the translatome during physiological and pathological angiogenesis.• Aim 3: To modulate the expression of key translational regulators involved in physiopathological angiogenesis through gain of function (GOF) and loss of function (LOF) experiments.
