Scientific-Disciplinary Group
10/PEMM-01 - Performing Arts, Music, Film And Media
Description
The project aims to develop and apply a mixed-methods analytical framework for the systematic study of social themes, character embedding, and narrative alignment in a corpus of serial narratives from 2015–2025. The specific objectives are: (a) to map and code representations of mental health and the LGBT+ community in a cross-genre corpus of TV series, analyzing recurrences, variations, and patterns; (b) to operationalize the concept of character embedding through measurable indicators, examining how main characters embody or problematize relevant themes; (c) to assess the degree of narrative alignment in the selected series using a Likert-scale protocol applied via LLMs.
