Description
The project will concentrate on dark sectors, that is extensions of the SM below the electroweak scale with weak couplings to visible particles (therefore "dark"). These models are receiving great attention. The project will study their astroparticle physics aspects, with emphasis on models that have a rich structure, with multiple particles and interactions, in the context of the ERC DarkSHunt project. They can also include candidates for dark matter, typically sub-GeV DM with unique properties and experimental signatures.The project will study the astroparticle aspects of this type of models, focusing on the theoretical and phenomenological study of sub-GeV dark matter and on the astroparticle and cosmological consequences of other particles and interactions, such as phase transitions, entropy injection and others. It will compare the results with the sensitivities of present and future experiments also in synergy with cosmological and astroparticle physics observations.
