SEASHELL WASTES VALORIZATION BY MECHANICAL AND PHYSICAL TREATMENTS.
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
03/CHEM-03 - General And Inorganic Chemistry
Description
The research activities will be organized into two parallel lines of work:1. Development and optimization of functionalization methodsThis activity focuses on the incorporation of macro- and micronutrients into calcium carbonate powders obtained from aquaculture waste, through:- The application of impregnation techniques in aqueous solution;- Application of ball milling processes under wet and dry conditions. The results obtained using the different methods will be compared in terms of efficiency, homogeneity and reproducibility.2. Chemical and physical characterization of the materialsThe materials obtained will be characterized by:- Composition analysis (ICP);- Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA);- Structural analysis by X-ray diffraction (XRD);- Morphological study by scanning electron microscopy (SEM);- Processing and interpretation of experimental data.
