08/CEAR-07 - Structural Analysis And Design

Description

The research activity concerns the seismic reliability assessment, also from a life-cycle perspective, of bridges equipped with bearing systems and seismic protection devices, either passive or active. The programme includesnumerical modelling of the structural behaviour of the bridge and devices, analysis of the seismic response, including uncertainties in mechanical parameters, seismic input and the evolution of the structural condition over time.Performance and reliability indicators will be defined, assessing the contribution of the devices to vulnerability reduction, robustness and safety management of the structure throughout its life cycle
