Observational study on soft tissue sarcomas: clinical and molecular-pathological characteristics, treatment pathways, and real-world outcomes
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
06/MEDS-09 - Blood Diseases, Oncology And Rheumatology
Description
Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) represent a heterogeneous group of rare mesenchymal tumors. The “LEOPARD” observational study is a multicenter, retrospective and prospective study aiming to describe the clinicopathological characteristics of patients with STS, diagnostic and therapeutic pathways, and real-world outcomes in clinical practice. Adult patients with histologically confirmed diagnoses treated at participating centers will be included. Collected data will include demographic variables, histological subtype and molecular characteristics, stage at diagnosis, treatments received (surgery, radiotherapy, systemic therapies), and clinical response. Primary endpoints will include overall survival, progression-free survival, and quality of life. The analysis will allow the identification of prognostic factors and treatment patterns, contributing to the optimization of patient management and the generation of hypotheses for future interventional studies.
