Scientific-Disciplinary Group

Description
The project aims at investigating complex fluid dynamics in porous media and in complex enviroment with a multidisciplinary approach encompassing modelling techniques and numerical simulations. The project will make use of pore-resolved simulations as a benchmark for the Darcy-like continuous model which will be extended at macroscopic scale. The main goal of the project is to develop efficient flow models beyond the simple Darcy model, to allow accurate predictions of the dynamics of complex flows, including the processes in CO2 sequestration.
