Development of High Time-Resolution Detectors for the ALICE3 and EEE Projects
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
02/PHYS-01 - Experimental Physics Of Fundamental Interactions And Applications
Description
The successful candidate will take part in the research and development program for the ALICE3 project at the LHC. Specifically, they will be responsible for the laboratory and beam characterization of high time-resolution semiconductor detectors, in particular monolithic sensors, for the time-of-flight system of the future experiment. The activity includes travel for experimental work at CERN and other laboratories. It also involves participation in collaboration meetings and the presentation of results at conferences, as well as contributing to the preparation of publications related to the obtained results. The candidate will also take part in the Extreme Energy Events (EEE) project, working on the development and operation of MRPC and/or SiPM detectors for cosmic ray detection.
