In this energy crisis context, the development of next-generation materials is crucial toimprove functionality, reduce costs and improve the efficiency of future energy systems.Innovative materials with improved functionality can improve energy productivity in differentsectors. Materials with new properties, greater durability and sustainability will save energyin energy-intensive processes and applications and create a new prospect for renewableenergy generation. In particular the focus is on the development of active and selectivecatalysts to be used in metallic membrane reactors for the conversion of C1 chemicals.
