Description

The research program includes: 1) the characterization of bioplastics that will be subjected to depolymerization procedures using analytical techniques such as Py-GC-MS, FTIR, and elemental analysis; 2) the analysis of depolymerization products generated by photochemical treatments using GC-MS; 3) the analysis of microplastics/nanoplastics formed following photochemical treatments using microscopy and Py-GC-MS; 4) the analysis of fermentation products obtained from the biological treatments using GC-MS and COD analysis.
