Fabrication and characterization of thin films nonlinear optical materials
Posted on: 27/05/2026
Deadline: 09/06/2026
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
02/PHYS-03 - Experimental Physics Of Matter And Applications
Description
The research activity involves the fabrication and characterization of thin films of optical materials characterized by a nonlinear response. The nonlinearity may be purely optical and/or thermo-optical in nature (e.g., thin films of vanadium dioxide, VO2), or structural in nature, involving the creation of photo responsive materials in which the nonlinearity manifests between the material configuration and the optical response (polymeric materials enriched with liquid crystals, such as Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystals, PDLC).
