Description

The candidate will carry out a research project aimed at investigating the two-way interaction of Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) and cryosphere. This twoyear research fellowship will entail model development, targeted model experiments and analysis of model output in the context of existing observational datasets. The goal is to establish a framework to test thesensitivity of AMOC weakening to large-scale cryosphere melting processes. The candidate will analyze gridded global datasets from Coupled Model Intercomparison Project phase 6 and 7 (CMIP6/CMIP7) with open source software (Python) and carry out climate model simulations with the model EC-Earth3
