Use of neural networks to assess ecosystem services and trade-offs following crop diversification in sustainable agroecosystems.
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
07/AGRI-02 - Agronomy And Field, Vegetable, Ornamental Cropping Systems
Description
The activity consists in developing a model based on the use of neural networks, capable of evaluating the ecosystem services provided by crop diversification and the expected trade-offs. At the same time, the appointee will need to interact with participants in the various Living Labs managed by the Agroecology Group, in order to map farmers’ needs and identify the types of data available from them for use in the model. Finally, the model will have to be tested in different contexts, where data collection is more challenging, such as the African context.
