Description
The research program to which this assignment relates consists of:1.A systematic review of the benefits and risks of different extracorporeal purification techniques, including hemodiafiltration and high-flux hemodialysis (a systematic review of the comparative performance of various extracorporeal purification techniques, including HDF versus high-flux HD or other techniques, based on patient-reported outcomes);2.An epidemiological study of the association of different convection volumes in HDF with total mortality, cardiovascular mortality, and other outcomes;3.A study evaluating the causal link between randomization to virtual reality/metaverse interventions and cognitive outcomes in hemodialysis patients;4.A study evaluating the prevalence of oral lesions and related pharmacological interventions in populations undergoing different extracorporeal purification techniques.
