Description

The research aims to pursue the following objectives: - map key areas of intervention to improve sustainability in logistics, with a particular focus on warehouse evolution and automated processes; - analyze the sustainability impact dimensions in logistics, assessing applicable environmental, economic, and social metrics within warehouse contexts; - explore the role of technology in supporting sustainability, considering applications of IoT, collaborative robotics, data analytics, and digital twin systems for optimizing logistics operations; - study process transformation from a human-centric perspective, focusing on safety, ergonomics, work quality, and staff inclusion within automated warehouses; - investigate the potential of Artificial Intelligence to enhance sustainability in logistics; - assess the value of environmental sustainability in logistic real estate.
