Description
The position is aimed at developing theoretical models of the determinants of inclusive political, legal and fiscal institutions incentivizing cooperation between elite and non-elite and societal resilience to climate change. The models will be tested employing data on 44 major Mesopotamian polities observed over the 3200-1750 BCE period, the 34 main Egyptian cities observed between 2900 and 1750 BCE and 81 main Egyptian polities observed over the 2450-1850 BCE. Previous experience with the relevant game theoretical models is necessary.
