Description

To accomplish the objectives of the ERC grant NANOWHYR (grant number: 101042349), we aim at modifying the bandgap ofNitrogen-based nanowires using low-energy protonirradiation. The materials are heterostructurednanowires: GaAsN/GaAs core-shell nanowires andInN nanowires. The effects of irradiation, such as andgap and strain levels changes will be investigated with micro-Ramanand micro-photoluminescence techniques. Hydrogenation spatial control will also be investigated, with the goal of creating single photon emitters.
