Description

The research will focus on the study and development of innovative technologies and methodologies for environmental monitoring, with particular attention to the monitoring of atmospheric pollutants. The main activity will concern the development of novel gas sensor–based technologies and related operating methodologies, also including the development of machine learning and sensor fusion approaches tailored to the specific application. The research may also include related and supporting activities connected to the main topic, such as process studies and the application of dispersion models. Significant field activity is foreseen at various types of industrial facilities (e.g., waste treatment, paper mills, etc.).
