The regulation of work in supply chains
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
12/GIUR-04 - Labour Law
Description
The aim of the research is to examine in depth the topic of the regulation of work in supply chains, focusing on two main issues. First, it addresses the critical issue — aggravated by the spread of algorithmic management tools — related to the identification of the true employer. In particular, the research must examine how digitalisation and algorithmic management transform employer power and affect the criteria for attributing employment relationships, and exploring whether co-employment theories can counter the decentralisation of responsibility in supply chains.Second, it focuses on the anti-dumping guarantee under Article 29(1-bis) of Legislative Decree No. 276/2003, examining its interpretive challenges and the procedural tools available to trade unions to enforce it. The research also investigates instruments — legal and collective-bargaining-based — aimed at preventing violations of workers' economic and regulatory entitlements in supply chains.
