Description
The researcher will contribute to the design and development of the Multimodal Semantic Integration Platform (WP3) within the HEREDITARY project (Horizon Europe RIA, grant 101137074). The activity addresses two interconnected tasks: (i) the design and incremental population of a multimodal biomedical ontology covering neurological diseases (ALS, MS, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Frontotemporal Dementia) and gut-microbiome-related disorders, aligned with existing biomedical standards (ICD, SNOMED CT, MeSH, HPO, Gene Ontology); (ii) the implementation of an Ontology-Based Data Access (OBDA) layer enabling federated, privacy-preserving query rewriting over heterogeneous health data sources — clinical records, genomics databases, medical imaging metadata, and biomedical literature...
