Description

This research project falls within the field of law and religion and aims to explore the phenomenon of the exploitation of women’s vulnerability in multicultural and multireligious societies, focusing specifically on forced and early marriages as practices that profoundly violate the fundamental rights of women and minors. The research activity lies at the intersection of state rights, religious rights, human rights protection, and socio-cultural dynamics that contribute to the persistence of forms of female subordination. In particular, the selected candidate will be tasked with conducting a systematic analysis of the current state of research on forced and early marriages, investigating their cultural, religious, and socio-economic roots, as well as their impact on marital freedom, individual self-determination, and gender equality.
