Scientific-Disciplinary Group
08/CEAR-09 - Architectural Design
Description
- Development of a project taxonomy: this refers to the critical systematization of national case studies concerning interventions aimed at modifying existing detention facilities in order to create spaces and practices related to rehabilitation, education, and social relations. This operation will be supported by direct field investigation carried out in dialogue with institutions and expert stakeholders, especially where data cannot be retrieved through already codified channels.- Strengthening the role of Off Campus San Vittore as a study center oriented toward situated experimentation as a tool for defining a method of intervention applicable to the broader prison system. In collaboration with the research group active within Off Campus, the researcher will therefore follow the experimental practices currently underway in the correctional facility, contributing to the definition of the stages of the process and extracting, from within, a possible invariant reference structure.
