Description
The aging of the population is linked to an increase in chronic degenerative diseases, with a particular impact from osteosarcopenia, a complex syndrome characterized by the simultaneous decline of bone and muscle mass. This study aims to investigate the connection between eating habits, lifestyle, and the onset of metabolic and degenerative diseases. Despite the strong tradition of the Mediterranean Diet, the nutritional shift towards high-calorie models and increasing sedentary behavior threaten the health of adults and seniors in Calabria.
