Description
The research activity will focus on the mechanisms that enable multiple myeloma cells to maintain protein homeostasis despite the high biosynthetic demand associated with antibody production. The successful candidate will contribute to the characterization of processes regulating protein synthesis, translation quality and cellular stress responses using molecular and cellular biology approaches. Activities will include cell culture and genetic manipulation, functional assays to assess cell viability and proteostasis, gene and protein expression analyses, and preparation of samples for genomic and proteomic studies. The candidate will also participate in the analysis and interpretation of experimental results.
