Description
The research activity is within the framework of the ESA/Euclid mission whose scientific purpose is the study of the quantity and distribution of dark energy and dark matter in the Universe. In particular, within the Euclid consortium, the INFN team in Lecce has theresponsibility for developing, maintaining and executing the spatial transient detection pipeline in VIS images for the Euclid SOC in ESAC (ESA). The selected candidate (Python programming language expert) will join the local development team and help torun the source identification code regularly, maintaining and adapting it if necessary. In collaboration with other entities, the analysis of NISP chamber data for successfully identified objects will be implemented.
