Description

The research activity concerns the development of methodologies and tools for the processing of multistatic radar data within the URANUS project. The work includes the design and implementation of a data simulator based on the physical modeling of the acquisition process through the projection of elementary scatterers into the data space, accounting for realistic effects such as signal-to-noise ratio, synchronization errors, navigation accuracy, and terrain topography. The activity also includes the development of a preliminary processing chain featuring phase synchronization, accurate trajectory estimation, time-domain multistatic focusing, and algorithms for the estimation and compensation of synchronization and navigation errors. Support to the planning of experimental campaigns and the acquisition of meaningful datasets for the validation of the developed methodologies is also envisaged.
