Pica Code IR-2026-055 - Unveiling neutrophils’ metabolism to set up a new therapy for non-small cell lung cancer
The research activity will focus on the characterization of the phenotype, metabolic profile, and role of HCAR receptors in tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), with the aim of elucidating their contribution to tumor progression and evaluating their potential as novel therapeutic targets.OBJ: The aim of the project is to elucidate the role of cellular metabolism in tumor-infiltrating neutrophils and to develop HCAR2/3 receptor inhibitors as potential anticancer agents for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
