Monitoring railway infrastructures using distributed acoustic sensing - data acquisition and processing

The researcher will be responsible for data acquisition using acoustic sensors deployed in the laboratory and at RFI experimental sites. They will be required to collaborate with railway, mechanical, and IT experts to facilitate the necessary interaction for identifying potential issues—such as defects in joints or ballast conditions—as well as detecting intrusions and rockfalls.
