Young Scientists for the Earth: Discovering Science to Save the Environment.

The research assignment is part of the project Young Scientists for the Earth, aimed at engaging upper-secondary school students in STEM/STEAM through hands-on activities on cell biology, genetics and environmental sustainability. The appointee will contribute to the design and delivery of teaching materials, school STEM Days, visits to UNIVPM laboratories, activities showing the effects of pollutants on cells and DNA, collection and organisation of monitoring/evaluation data and support for dissemination of results. The activity requires skills in cell biology, molecular genetics, science communication and laboratory-based education, with attention to inclusion, gender equality in STEAM and university orientation.
