Materials for electrochemical energy storage systems

The activity of this project consists in the study and characterization of the interphases of advanced storage and conversion systems such as lithium metal batteries, metal ion and redox flow batteries. Advanced electrode materials will be investigated as well as the reactivity at the electrode/electrolyte interphase, the electrode/current collector interphase, especially in the case of electrolytes aqueous, to verify their stability, the solid electrode/electrolyte interphase, especially for the lithium metal electrode, the electrode/separator interphase for the optimization of the ionic transport. The following activities are planned: 1) In-depth study of electrode/electrolyte interfaces; 2) Study of advanced electrode materials; 3) Study of sustainable polymer separators; 4) Study of solid and hybrid electrolytes; 5) Studies using in situ spectroscopic and microscopic techniques; 6) Chemical-physical and electrochemical characterization of cells with optimized.
