IdR59/26-Technological and physicochemical processes for the recovery and valorization of nufa-ients, organic and morganic carbon from wastewater, byproducts, and anaerobic digestates, auned at the production of high-value-added products
The project aims to develop and integrate mnovative biotechnological and physico-chemical processes for the recovery and valorization of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphoms) and organic and inorganic carbon from wastewater, industrialby-products, and anaerobic digestates. The objective is to transform low-value residual streams into valuable resources for the sustainable production of high-value-added products, contributing to the transition towards a cu'cular economy model. The activities mclude the characterization of feedstock matrices, the optmiization of recovery and conversion processes, and the assessment of the enviromnental and economic performance of the developed technologies. The resultmg products may include recovered fertilizers, microbial biomass, biopolymers, bio-based compounds, and othersecondary raw materials.
