Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of offshore wind farms and manufacturing processes - 2026_IDR_DICA_14

The activity involves conducting sustainability assessments using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology for renewable energy systems, such as offshore wind farms, as well as for the manufacturing processes of various materials and components. The work includes an in-depth analysis of existing LCA models to account for the impacts of these systems on marine biodiversity and the development of new models where existing ones prove to be insufficient. It also involves modelling the systems under study using the SimaPro LCA software, calculating the associated environmental impacts, and interpreting the results to identify improvement strategies aimed at reducing these impacts. Finally, the activity includes preparing a technical report for each system analyzed.
