Study and Development of Advanced Power Amplification Architectures for RF Transmitter Systems
The research program is aimed at the study, design, and validation of advanced power amplification architectures for high-performance RF and microwave transmitter systems. The activities will include theoretical analysis, modeling, and simulation of innovative architectures intended to improve energy efficiency, linearity, and bandwidth of transmitter modules. Advanced load-modulation and power-combining tecniques will be investigated, with particular emphasis on next-egneration wireless communication systems. The program will also involve circuit design, optimization through dedicated CAD tools, prototype implementation, and experimentale characterization by means of RF and microwave measurements, in order to assess performance and suitability for advanced application scenarios
