Development of integrated photonic circuits for microscopy - 2026_IDR_DFIS_14
Research program focused on the development of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for the direct generation of optical wavefronts in free space, with simultaneous control of phase and amplitude.The project explores architectures based on arrays of coherent emitters integrated on glass.Visible-wavelength PICs will be designed and characterized, and extended to array configurations with analysis of stability, cross-talk, and contrast.The activity includes integration of PICs with control electronics for phase and amplitude modulation through thermal or electro-optic shifters.
