Development of evaluation indices for low-cost monitoring of the cell differentiation process.

The project aims to develop assessment indices for monitoring the cell differentiation process, based on non-destructive and low-cost analysis techniques.The candidate will be involved in the implementation of one or more evaluation indices for the in-line and real-time identification of the cell differentiation process through non-destructive techniques (e.g. metabolites/electrolytes in culture medium).The project is divided into several integrated phases: implementation of cell culture protocols; detection of biomarkers for monitoring cell differentiation; and development of one or more assessment indices using machine learning techniques.The work will offer the opportunity to acquire multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and biotechnology.
