Description
Title of the project: “Constitutional Analysis of the eLegislation using Artificial Intelligence for the Legislative Making-process”. The project examines with the analytical methodology of constitutional law parliamentary law and legal informatics, how AI is transforming the legislative process (Lupo 2020;Pollicino 2021;De Gregorio;Valcke;Simoncini 2025;Palmirani 2025;Hildebrandt 2025; Reichman; De Lungo 2025).AI is currently used in Parliaments in three main domains: (i)procedural and administrative activities (eg, amendment classification);(ii)support for democratic debate (e.g., similarity of bills) and(iii)enhancement of legislative quality(eg, impact analysis).The project assesses the legitimacy concerns arising from the use of AI in parliamentary procedures, identifying the applicable safeguards and constraints (explainability, human oversight,technological sovereignty, impartiality..Omissis..
