Description
The research project will focus on shared resource optimization for charging electric vehicles (EVs) at goods distribution centres. To this end, EV energy charging requirements will be predicted using estimate time of arrival information, weather conditions, and other relevant factors. These estimates will be deployed in a stochastic dynamic program to optimize charging schedules across existing charging infrastructure. The resulting models will account for time-dependent energy costs. Efficient optimization algorithms will be developed to solve the resulting model.
