Water Safety Plan Automatic Monitoring System - WAFER - CUP B49J24000650005
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
02/PHYS-06 - Physics For Life Sciences, Environment, And Cultural Heritage, Physics Education And History Of Physics
Description
The research activity will focus on the design, construction, and experimental characterization of liquid-phase biosensors for the selective detection of microbiological pathogens in water samples. Specifically, the research program includes the study and optimization of sensor functionalizations, the definition of measurement protocols, and the analysis of analytical performance in terms of sensitivity, specificity, linearity, accuracy, and reproducibility. Biosensor validation activities will also be conducted under controlled laboratory conditions and on real samples, through comparison with standardized reference methods. The activities are part of the WAFER project and are aimed at developing automated systems for the microbiological monitoring of water and evaluating the reliability of the prototype for its operational application.
