Description
The research project is aimed at the integrated development of advanced solutions for precision medicine. A first line focuses on the design of advanced injectable or implantable formulations and smart wound dressings for patient-specific tissue regeneration. The approach integrates the synthesis and modification of polymers and biopolymers— preferably through ionizing radiation—advanced characterization, and functional validation, with the goal of developing modular platforms with high clinical impact. A second line concerns the synthesis and characterization of functional nanoparticles for nanoradiotheranostics in oncology, designed to integrate diagnosis and therapy within a single platform, with particular attention to colloidal stability, surface functionalization, safety, and efficacy. In parallel, the project includes the development of devices for the capture and analysis of rare cells.
