Pica code: IPD-2026-014 - ICEGIANT -ICEGIANT - Integrated geodetic, geophysic and remote sensing observations for the study of David Glacier Cauldron icefall and the floating Drygalski ice-tongue
Posted on: 27/02/2026
Deadline: 16/03/2026
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
08/CEAR-04 - Geomatics
Description
The scientific activity will deal with SAR image processing and analysis with the aim of studying glacial body dynamics (WP3 tasks) and supporting ground-based geodetic and geophysical investigations. Both InSAR and DInSAR approaches will be exploited over Antarctica (focus on Drygalsky glacier) to generate ice sheet velocity maps and to build a dense time series that points out the observation of velocity fluctuations at different temporal scales, ranging from weekly to inter-annual
