Description

The research will develop optimization models, heuristic solutions, and reinforcement learning methods for resource management and scheduling in edge computing systems running AI and Agentic AI applications, partially deployed on edge devices, edge servers and cloud. The goal is to obtain efficient solutions taking into account application performance, the energy consumption of edge devices and the current workload of the whole system.The candidate will also be involved in teaching activities to support courses in software engineering, basic programming (in Python and C++) and advanced programming (for parallel computing with MPI).
