Description

Project combines neuromarker analysis and neuromodulation in an innovative neurorehabilitation system. The platform will integrate:neuromarker module based on high-density surface EMG signals and neuromodulation module controlling transcranial and sensory stimulation devices.Novel decomposition algorithms will estimate motor unit activity during voluntary contractions, together with tools for robust assessment of neural markers of motor unit correlation.A control framework will guide the selection of stimulation amplitude and frequency through a cost function measuring the distance between neural correlation markers in healthy individuals and those estimated in patients after cortical and sensory stimulation.Optimization strategies, including penalty terms and sparse constraints, will be tested to identify the most effective approach for inducing stable neuroplasticity.System will be managed through a friendly graphical interface ensuring safety and robustness for future clinical trials
