Description

The project will validate an innovative neurorehabilitation system designed to implant physiological patterns of motoneuron correlation in the arm and shoulder motor system. The approach will be tested in healthy individuals and validated in two patient groups: breast cancer survivors with shoulder impairment and chronic stroke patients with pathological upper-limb flexion synergy. Using high-density surface EMG combined with transcranial and sensory stimulation, the study will modulate alpha motor neuron activity during shoulder movements. Neuromuscular and functional outcomes will be assessed before and after repeated sessions to evaluate improvements in motor function.
