Description
Development of numerical models for the simulation of fracture and damage in quasi-brittle materials, with particular attention to the effect of local damage mechanisms (crack initiation and propagation) on the overall response of the structural element. The activity also includes the processing of experimental data to support the calibration and validation of the numerical models and the construction of datasets useful for training artificial intelligence algorithms.
