Description

The research activity aims to develop an innovative technological ecosystem for integrating electric vehicles into the power system as active flexibility resources. Through the adoption of advanced Vehicle-Grid Integration (VGI) solutions, the project enables optimized, efficient, and user-friendly management of electric charging, providing benefits in terms of grid balancing, emission reduction, and local energy enhancement. The plan covers all layers of the VGI architecture: from the definition of requirements and architecture to the development of predictive logic, local control systems, automotive-based and second-life storage systems, up to the VPP (Virtual Power Plant) aggregation platform for V1G/V2G ancillary services, followed by testing the solutions in relevant environments. The solution features seamless integration between EVs, storage, and photovoltaics, both in residential contexts and in fleet or aggregation scenarios.
