Description

The research program aims to examine the modes of coordination and the mutual intersections between the legal frameworks governing intellectual property and the regime applicable to health data, as regulated in particular by EU Regulation 2025/327 establishing the so-called European Health Data Space.The research shall take into account the impact that the legal protection of trade secrets and databases may exert on the emerging regime for the circulation, use, and sharing of health data, with attention also to the regulation of data mining activities.The expected outcomes of the research program include the preparation of one or more essays addressing the aforementioned issues, with a view to their publication in peer-reviewed legal academic journals.
