Description

Title of the project: "Applied genomics and phenomics for animal productions". Theresearch activity will focus on integrating phenomics, metabolomics, and genomics approaches inlivestock species to improve traits related to adaptation to climate change, animal welfare, diseaseresistance, and product quality, as well as the conservation of animal genetic resources and theauthentication of animal-derived products. The activities will include the management and analysis of data and metadata within a big data framework, incorporating bioinformatics analyses, elementsof computational biology, and systems biology to extract information from metabolomic data,whole-genome sequencing, and genome genotyping, as well as their integration.
